FoCo Summer Camps FAQ

How this Fort Collins camp comparison tool works, where the data comes from, and how to get in touch.

What is FoCo Summer Camps?

FoCo Summer Camps is a free comparison table for summer camps in Fort Collins, CO. It helps parents and caregivers line up camp sessions by chosen requirements (dates, ages, prices, hours, etc.), then follow each listing to the official provider site to confirm details and register.

Who is FoCo Summer Camps for?

FoCo Summer Camps is made for parents and caregivers planning summer coverage in Fort Collins. It’s built as a practical planning tool that minimizes the number of tabs you need open at once to compare camp options.

Who runs FoCo Summer Camps?

FoCo Summer Camps is run by Molly, a Fort Collins mom, as a volunteer-maintained resource.

Is this an official city or school-district site?

No. FoCo Summer Camps is an independent, volunteer-maintained resource. It is not affiliated with the City of Fort Collins, Colorado State University, Poudre School District, or any camp provider listed on the site.

Is FoCo Summer Camps free to use?

Yes. The comparison table is free for parents.

Do providers pay to be listed on FoCo Summer Camps?

No. Providers are not charged to appear in the results. FoCo Summer Camps is intentionally inclusive. We do not support pay-to-appear or paid ranking strategies.

How is this site paid for?

Right now, FoCo Summer Camps is a volunteer project paid for out of pocket by Molly. Parents use the comparison table for free, and camp providers are not charged to appear in the results.

Interested in sponsoring?

If you’re interested in sponsoring clearly labeled advertising or underwriting space—kept separate from the camp comparison results—email focosummercamps@gmail.com. Sponsorship would never change ranking or hide non-paying providers.

Which areas does FoCo Summer Camps cover?

The focus is Fort Collins and the nearby area. Location is shown on listings so you can see where a session runs; the filters are built around comparing sessions for local families, not searching by neighborhood.

Do you list camps outside Fort Collins?

The focus is Fort Collins and the nearby area. Some listings may be a short drive away when they’re useful for local families; the site is not meant as a statewide directory.

Are all Fort Collins summer camps listed?

Probably not, but we're trying to become more comprehensive. If you know a useful local camp that’s missing, suggest it by email.

Where does the camp information come from?

Listings are based on official provider websites and materials. Each session includes a link to that source so you can verify the details yourself.

How up to date is the information?

Camp details change often—prices, open spots, and dates especially. The site is updated as information is checked and corrections come in, but it is always a starting point. Always confirm current details on the provider’s official page before registering.

Should I register through this site?

No. FoCo Summer Camps does not take registrations or payments. Use the official source link on each listing to go to the provider’s site and register there.

How do I find camps for my child’s age or grade?

Use the Age or Grade filters near the top of the page. Age is your child’s age in the summer; grade is the grade they are entering. A session only appears when its listed eligibility clearly includes your selection. Many camps state age or grade (not both) so try the filter that matches how the camp describes itself. If both are set, a session can match on either.

Why don’t I see many results when I filter by grade?

Only a minority of sessions on the site state grade eligibility. Most camps describe ages instead. A narrow grade filter often returns few rows—that reflects the data, not a bug. Try the age filter if the grade filter looks empty.

How do I find camps for a specific week?

Set the date-range filters to the week (or weeks) you need coverage. The table keeps sessions that overlap those dates. You can also sort by date using the column headers.

What’s the difference between half-day and full-day camps on this site?

The Day length filter groups sessions by scheduled hours: full-day means 6 or more hours; half-day means under 6 hours. Exact drop-off and pickup times still come from the provider, so check the official source (and any notes on the listing) for the most accurate schedule. Extended care, if offered, is usually separate from the core day length.

What’s the difference between the main table and the program-level section?

The main table is for individual camp sessions with enough detail to compare (dates, ages, price, hours, and so on). The program-level section is for providers that are useful to know about, but where session-by-session details are incomplete, calendar-driven, or not yet published. If you'd like a program-level provider to be listed in the main table, encourage them to share clearer session details or reach out to focosummercamps@gmail.com so we can list them comprehensively.

Can I see past (already finished) sessions?

Yes. Past sessions are hidden by default so the table stays useful for planning. Use the toggle to show them when you want the fuller season picture.

When do Fort Collins summer camps typically open registration?

It varies by provider. Many local camps open registration in late winter or early spring for the upcoming summer, and popular sessions can fill quickly. Some programs publish dates earlier or later. FoCo Summer Camps does not currently show registration-open dates in the main table; use each listing’s official source link for the current registration window.

How much do summer camps in Fort Collins usually cost?

Prices vary widely by provider, day length, and what’s included. On this site, many week-long sessions fall between $100 - $400, with some shorter or simpler options lower and specialty or longer programs higher. Prices shown here are meant as a standard session price for comparison; membership discounts, fees, and extended care are often noted separately or only on the provider’s site. Always confirm the current price before registering.

What should I do if a listing looks wrong?

Email a correction to focosummercamps@gmail.com (or use the “Email a correction” link in the footer). Include the provider/camp name, what needs fixing, and a source URL if you have one. Corrections are re-checked against the official source before the listing is updated.

How do I suggest a camp that’s missing?

Email focosummercamps@gmail.com (or use “Email a missing camp” in the footer) with the provider name, official website, and any details you know—ages, dates, price. Camps are added after the official source is verified.

Are you a camp provider interested in being listed or correcting information?

Yes—please reach out. If your camp is missing, email focosummercamps@gmail.com with your official website and the session details you’d like included. If something on an existing listing is wrong, email the same address with the correction and a link to your official source. Listings stay free; appearing here does not require payment. Details are verified against your official materials before they go live.
